In my dream for the future, I envision myself as a dedicated and compassionate nurse, making a positive impact on the lives of others. As a nurse, I see myself working tirelessly to provide the best care possible to my patients, promoting their health and well-being. I imagine myself building strong relationships with patients and their families, offering them comfort and support during their most vulnerable moments. I aspire to be a source of knowledge and reassurance, guiding them through their healthcare journey with empathy and understanding.

In this future vision, I also see myself continuously seeking opportunities for growth and
professional development. I aim to stay updated with the latest advancements in nursing practice, always striving to improve my skills and expand my knowledge. I envision myself pursuing higher education and specialized certifications to enhance my expertise in specific areas of healthcare. By staying abreast of emerging technologies and evidence-based practices, I believe I can contribute to the advancement of nursing and provide the highest quality of care to my patients.

Furthermore, my dream for the future as a nurse extends beyond the boundaries of the hospital or clinic. I see myself actively involved in community outreach programs, volunteering my time and skills to help underserved populations. I deeply resonate with the idea that "change starts with me" and believe it to be a profound insight. It reminds me that I have the power to be the catalyst for change in my own life and the world around me. By taking ownership of my thoughts, behaviors, and actions, I can actively contribute to positive transformations. I understand that change is not just a societal or systemic issue; it begins at an individual level and requires introspection and personal growth. In my view, "change starts with me" means recognizing that I am an integral part of the larger fabric of society. I acknowledge that my attitudes, prejudices, and actions can impact others, whether positively or negatively. Therefore, I strive to be mindful of my words and behavior, treating others with empathy, compassion, and fairness. My mother is all that gives me life

 Mother's Day is an important occasion to show appreciation and gratitude towards our mothers, and although it can be difficult to celebrate the day when mom is working abroad, there are still ways to make her feel special and loved. One way to celebrate this special day when mom is working abroad is to surprise her with a video call. Having a video call with her on Mother's Day will make her feel loved and appreciated, as she will be able to see her family together, even if it's through a screen. It is also a good idea to prepare some special messages or a card to read to her during the call, expressing our love and appreciation for everything she does for our family.


Another way to celebrate Mother's Day is to create a care package and send it to her. This care package can be filled with her favourite snacks and treats, notes, and small special gifts from her children. It is a good idea to personalize the package with her favorite photos or something that reminds her of home. This package will show her that even though she's far away, she's still missed and loved very much. Moreover, many social sites and apps can facilitate the online purchasing and delivery of custom care packages, especially during times of social distancing.


Finally, we can also celebrate Mother's Day with our mom by planning a future get-together. Our mom can plan to come back home during the next Mother's Day, providing that it is possible under the circumstances. On that day, we can organize a family picnic or go out to a special dinner to celebrate together. This way, we can make up for the missed Mother's Day and make her feel even more loved and appreciated. Planning such an event in advance can also help her feel more connected with our daily lives and will give her something to look forward to. Therefore, these are some of the ways we can celebrate Mother's Day with our mom working abroad. Though the distance is far and the time zones may differ, the love for our mother is eternal, and it's important to show her how much we appreciate everything she does – not just on Mother's Day, but every single day.

In the Philippines, as well as other countries throughout the world, Labor Day is a frequently observed holiday. It is a day set aside to recognize the accomplishments and contributions of workers from various industries. In the US, it is observed yearly on the first Monday in September, while it occurs on May 1st in the Philippines. It has special meaning for Filipinos since it serves as a reminder of the battles waged and the sacrifices made by laborers over the years.

As a high school student, I believe that Labor Day is significant because it gives us the opportunity to appreciate and acknowledge the importance of the labor force in our lives. Without workers, essential services such as healthcare, sanitation, transportation, and education would not be provided. The holiday also recognizes the historical struggles of workers for better wages, safer working conditions, and workers' rights in general. This fought from the Philippine revolution all the way to contemporary times were workers also fight online misinformation, discrimination and human trafficking in several forms of labor.

Furthermore, Labor Day also raises awareness about current issues in the labor force, such as unemployment, underemployment, and unfair working conditions. As the pandemic continues to impact global economies, many Filipino workers are facing job losses and income reduction. The holiday serves to remind us of the need to support workers' rights, especially in these challenging times. It is an opportunity to advocate for policies and initiatives that promote fair labor practices and protect the welfare of all workers, including the marginalized and vulnerable sectors.

In conclusion, Labor Day is a holiday that holds great significance for Filipinos. It serves as a reminder of the vital contributions made by the labor force and the historical struggles fought for their rights. As a high school student, I believe that it is essential to acknowledge the importance of workers and advocate for fair labor practices. In doing so, we can ensure that every worker is treated with dignity and respect and that their contributions are recognized and appreciated.

Reflecting on Third Quarter Learnings: Deepening My Understanding


 "Progress is made one quarter at a time. The more you learn, the deeper your understanding becomes."



a. What are the learning/discoveries that I have gained?

This quarter, I have gained a deeper understanding of the fundamentals of HTML tags and the ability to apply my knowledge to our CBR research. Working more on tags made me realize that I can apply it in the future, and as we work on our cbr and design it, I can tell that I have improved a lot, and with that, I have been able to finish my work. Plus, with each other's help, you can tell that work is faster to finish.

Furthermore, I have been able to gain a solid understanding of the basics, such as the various types of tags, the syntax, and the use of attributes. I have also become more familiar with the various functions of HTML tags. 

Overall, I have gained a great deal of knowledge and experience this quarter by deepening my understanding of HTML tags and their applications. I have also been able to apply my knowledge to our CBR projects, and being able to report was also a great experience, especially since this was our first report in ICT. This knowledge will be invaluable in the future as I continue to work on web development.



b. What are the problems/challenges that I have encountered?

There were times that I had trouble adjusting, especially on the size, for the perfect fit of the pictures in designing our solo parts. I had trouble with it because even though I would repeatedly change the size of it, the result would be the same. Additionally, I had trouble recalling the few tags I had learned in earlier sessions; perhaps this was due to my short-term memory in that situation.

I also discovered skills in me that hadn't been discovered in the past activities that I did. On doing our CBR research, I realized that I am improving. Maybe there are some mistakes I make sometimes, but that isn't the reason to not finish my work. I've found ways to do it just to finish them.










c. How did I address these challenges?

With the help of my groupmates, I somehow almost made it, but in time, when I asked a question to ma'am, I finally found a solution for it and made the picture fit. By changing the picture, it fitted perfectly and was arranged with the text. I can really tell that asking questions makes the problem go away. By addressing my problems to someone, it helps me a lot because if you don't, it may result as it is or it can't be done unless you ask for help. Having good communication with your groupmates makes work totally done early.


d. Moving on I will....

I will take the lessons I learned this third quarter and apply them to the future. HTML tags and CBR research taught me the importance of structure, attention to detail, and collaboration. I was able to learn how to create a website and how to use HTML tags to make it look the way I want it to. I also learned how to research a particular topic and how to use critical thinking to evaluate the information. These skills are important and will come in handy in the future. I will use my new-found knowledge when I have to complete projects or write papers. I will use the structure I learned when creating websites and other digital projects. I will use the attention to detail when researching information for a project. And I will use the collaboration skills when working in a team. My reflection on this third quarter has allowed me to realize the importance of the skills I have gained. I will use these skills to further my success in the future. With the last part of my reflection, I am now ready to move on and apply these skills to the future.

Reflecting on God's Love During Lent 2023


 "Lenten season is a time to reflect, renew and rejoice in the joy of the resurrection."





The Lenten season of 2023 has been an interesting observance for me. As our community continues to be as it is, it is not just like the past years that we can't get out. I have had to find ways to observe the season without the usual festivities. As such, I have focused my attention on bonding with my family and deepening my connection with God.


One of the ways I have found to observe the Lenten season of 2023 is to stay at home and bond with my family. Although I have not been able to partake in the usual activities of the season, I have enjoyed the quality time I have been able to spend with my family. We have shared meals, played games, and had meaningful conversations. This time has allowed us to reconnect and strengthen our relationship. 


Another way I have observed the season of Lent is by deepening my connection with God. I have used the time to reflect on my actions and to focus on my faith. I have prayed more often and read devotional books. I have also made a conscious effort to be more mindful of the blessings I have in my life. 



In conclusion, the Lenten season of 2023 has provided me with the opportunity to stay at home and bond with my family, as well as to deepen my connection with God. Despite not being able to partake in the usual activities, I have found peace in the small moments of joy I have been able to experience.

Achieving Excellence and Unity: Celebrating the 121st Ilocos Sur National High School Day!

 

"It's so exciting that we are finally able to come together and celebrate this event again after a year of it being cancelled. It's a reminder that no matter what life throws our way, we can still come together and have a good time!"




 It was a great honor to be a part of the    celebration of Ilocos Sur National High      School, I am happy to celebrate our 121st  high school day with the theme “Renewed  Commitment in Defying Odds to Transcend  Heights of Excellence and Solidarity”. After three years of not celebrating this event, I  am glad that our school was finally able    to hold this special occasion. As a student of this school, I am proud of the efforts of  my fellow students and staff in making this event a success. I had fun hearing about      the celebration from my friends who were   there. I am sure that the experience of celebrating our 121st High School Day will be remembered for years to         come. 
   

Activities for the event included a variety show, booths, 
dancing, and an awards presentation. My other students who attended the celebration as well as the teachers all had a great time. Students had a great time while showcasing their abilities. I'm especially pleased of my fellow 10th graders who gave a hip-hop performance during the event. The fact that they may display their secret potential by outperforming their classmates in this type of competition benefits them, so good for them.


Though I did not attend the event, I still had fun watching the students and faculty celebrate our 121st high school day. It was a joy to see them come together and celebrate the success of our school. Seeing the students and teachers take part in the activities and cheer each other on showed me how strong the bonds between our school are. It was a reminder to me of how we should always strive for excellence and remain united in our efforts. It was wonderful to see them unite to acknowledge our school's accomplishments. It served as a reminder to me of the need to consistently pursue greatness and work as a team.


In conclusion, celebrating our 121st high school day was a great way to show solidarity and commitment in our school. Despite the three years of not celebrating it, we were still able to come together and demonstrate our commitment to excellence and unity. It was a great experience for me, even if I wasn’t able to attend the event. I am proud to be a part of this school and I am looking forward to many more years of celebrating our success.

The celebration of Women’s Month in 2023 will be a time to honor the accomplishments of Filipino women in overcoming these obstacles and working towards a more equal and just society.
